I am a PhD candidate in English and Gender Studies at the University of Mississippi, where I research lesbian, queer, and trans literature—and especially that which grapples with intersections between sexuality, gender, class, race, and the mythologies of the U.S. South. My short story, “The Chair Kickers’ Tale,” won the 2019 Robert Watson Fiction Award from The Greensboro Review, and my writing has also appeared in West Branch, Lit Hub, Bitch, Autostraddle, and elsewhere. I currently live in Memphis with my brilliant and beautiful partner, our two sassy kitties, and our goofy dog. You can also catch me on stage as the drag cowpunk Ponyboi, who don’t apologize to nobody but his mama. Check out the menu for more!
